Here you can find instructions on how to use our service, how to book trips, activate discounts, and other information. We provide clear and easy-to-follow instructions to guide you through each step so you can take full advantage of all the options available. If you have any questions or need further assistance, we are always ready to help!

  • Step 1 - Select a Trip

    First, you need to select the trip you want to book. One adult is automatically included. If it involves seniors, disabled persons, teenagers, or children, you need to edit the passenger composition in the column - then click "Book Trip".

  • Step 2 - Trip Information

    Here you can select your departure, click on the box with the departure time you want – your choice will appear in the summary window – then click "Continue".

  • Step 3 - Vehicles

    (Optional: You can skip to Step 4 if you do not want to book a vehicle.)

    Now it's time to book a vehicle.

    • When 'Yes' is selected, a window appears where you can choose your vehicle and save it – if you have 2 or more cars or a trailer, click the plus button.

    • If the vehicle is wider than 2 meters and/or longer than 5 meters, you need to enter this in additional information and save.

  • Step 4 - Passenger Information

    Do you have legal residence in the Westfjords? Click here to see how you can get a discount.

    Enter your information and ensure everything is correct - then click continue to proceed to the next page.

  • Step 5 - Summary

    Here you can review and ensure everything is correct - if everything is correct, you can proceed to the payment page.

    At the bottom of the page, you must accept the Sæferðir terms and conditions and click continue. The payment page will then appear.

  • Step 6 - Tickets

    Once payment has been made, the tickets will be sent to you via email. The tickets will be sent to the email address provided in Step 4 - Passenger Information.

NOTE: This is only for residents of the Westfjords

  • If you are a resident of the Westfjords, make sure to enter the correct postal code. Your postal code must be in the Westfjords. Once the passenger information is correct, you can proceed to the next page.

  • When you reach the summary page, a window will appear at the top where you can activate the resident discount for Westfjords residents. Now you need to verify your residence with electronic identification.

  • You can authenticate yourself to verify your residence using electronic ID or an identifier. Simply enter your phone number - then click "Confirm."

    • Electronic ID: You need to enter your phone number.

    • Identifier: You need to enter your national ID number.

  • Once your residence is verified, the discount will be activated. The discount will then appear in the summary window.

  • At the bottom of the page, you must accept the Sæferðir terms and conditions and click continue. The payment page will then appear.

  • Once payment has been made, the tickets will be sent to the email address provided in the passenger information.
